Energy and Climate policy specialist, Iowa Environmental Council
The Policy Specialist works with the Energy Program Director and other Council staff to conduct a range of activities that support adoption of a strong federal carbon pollution rule and a strong state implementation plan in Iowa. The Advocate will work with key stakeholders, including clean energy businesses, farmers, non-traditional allies and coalition partners (faith, labor, hunting and fishing), policy makers and regulators, and investor owned and consumer-owned utilities in order to build support for adoption and implementation of strong rules to reduce greenhouse emissions from power plants. Key activities include outreach, education and coalition-building; research, policy analysis, and advocacy with state agencies; coordination with state, regional, and national organizations; work with earned and social media.

Iowa Interfaith Power & Light seeks a part-time Program and Outreach Coordinator. The chosen candidate will work with the Executive Director to plan, oversee, and implement Iowa IPL’s expanding educational and outreach programming as part of our mission to engage and equip people of faith to become leaders in addressing the environmental and social justice consequences of climate change.
Iowa IPL inspires Iowa’s faith communities to embrace environmental stewardship as central to their religious convictions. We work together as people of faith to address climate change, to lead by example in reducing our individual and collective carbon footprints, and to advocate for sustainable energy policies for the benefit of present and future generations.

Administrative Coordinator, Trees Forever
Trees Forever, a team-based environmental non-profit organization, is seeking a committed individual to work as an administrative coordinator for Trees Forever’s Roadways programs. Requires a commitment to working for a non-profit organization, strong communication and organizational skills, strong customer service and phone skills, and Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and data-base systems such as Salesforce. Some overnight travel required a limited number of times during the year. Position will be based in Trees Forever’s Marion office.
